Room Lighting Rough-In & Fixture Prep
Ceiling boxes set and wired, fixtures staged for install
A newly drywalled room with ceiling boxes set, wiring pulled to every location and boxed fixtures staged on site, ready for hanging and trim-out.

The job
A freshly drywalled room with open ceiling boxes and a pile of new fixtures still in cartons. Before anything gets hung, the box locations get checked against the lighting plan, each ceiling run gets pulled and labeled, and the fixtures get unboxed and inventoried — so the trim-out happens in one clean pass instead of three trips up the ladder.

The problem
A remodeled room with fresh drywall, open ceiling boxes and a full set of new fixtures that still needed to be laid out and installed.
Our recommendation
Do the boring part first: verify locations, label every conductor and inventory the hardware so the fixture install is uninterrupted.
The result
Every ceiling location wired, labeled and ready — so fixture hanging went in one clean pass.
Scope of work
What we did
Process
How we approached it
Step 1
Verify box locations
Compared every ceiling box against the lighting plan and the room layout before committing to fixtures.
Step 2
Pull and label conductors
Pulled slack at each box and labeled the conductors so nothing has to be re-traced at trim-out.
Step 3
Inventory the fixtures
Unboxed each fixture, checked the mounting hardware and flagged anything missing while there was still time to order it.
Step 4
Stage and protect
Staged materials by location and protected the subfloor and fresh drywall from ladder traffic.
