Interior Repaint Prep & Protection
Full floor protection and masking before an interior repaint
Prep work for a whole-room repaint: floors covered, trim and window casings masked, and walls patched before a drop of paint goes on.

The job
This one is about the part of a paint job nobody photographs. A finished living room with trim, blinds, French doors and a new floor had to stay spotless through a full repaint, so the floors were covered, every casing and piece of hardware masked, and the walls patched and sanded before the first coat.

The problem
A finished living room with trim, blinds and French doors that had to stay spotless through a full repaint.
Our recommendation
Treat prep as the job, not the warm-up: breathable floor protection, masked hardware and fully sanded patches before any paint is opened.
The result
Crisp paint lines at every casing with zero overspray or drips on floors, blinds or hardware.
Scope of work
What we did
Process
How we approached it
Step 1
Cover the floors
Laid breathable floor protection wall to wall and taped it down at the perimeter so it can't shift underfoot.
Step 2
Mask trim and hardware
Masked casings, blinds, door hardware and outlets so nothing needs scraping afterward.
Step 3
Patch and sand
Filled nail holes and dings, then sanded smooth and dusted the walls before painting.
Step 4
Cut in and roll
Cut ceilings, trim and door frames by hand, then rolled the finish coats.
Step 5
Detail clean
Pulled masking, touched up and cleaned the room before the furniture went back.
