Unboxing, sorting hardware and assembling a flat-pack patio set in the garage, then placing it outside with everything torqued and level.
The job
Several boxes of flat-pack outdoor furniture — a wicker set, ottomans, a storage box and a sofa base — with the usual vague diagrams and hundreds of fasteners. We staged the build in the garage, sorted hardware by step, assembled and torqued everything, then placed the finished pieces outside and hauled the packaging away.

Step 1
Unbox and inventory
Opened every carton and checked parts and hardware against the manifest so a missing bolt doesn't surface halfway through.
Step 2
Protect and sort
Covered the garage floor and sorted fasteners by assembly step to keep the build moving.
Step 3
Build frames and bases
Assembled the frames, wicker panels and sofa base per spec, tightening in sequence so nothing racks out of square.
Step 4
Torque and check
Went back over every connection to final torque and tested each piece for wobble and square.
Step 5
Place and clean up
Set the finished furniture in place outdoors and hauled away all cardboard, foam and plastic.
